This question relates to how clubs will field teams, so maybe reps from each of the "Big 5" can help answer.
SCCL starts at U12. It looks like NPL (South Atlantic) offers U12 - although it seems only SSA and UFA participated in that league this season.
Also, all of the Big 5 offer DA except for GSA, which offers ECNL and that doesn't start until U14.
So, how will your club align its teams:
1st - DA 2nd - NPL/SCCL? 3rd - NPL/SCCL? 4th - Academy?
(Please include your naming convention - Elite, Premier, Gold, etc. and the corresponding team.) And with GSA, for U12, do you go with your first team entering NPL/SCCL?
I'm sure the answers to above will help a lot of people start to figure this thing out. Thanks.

Don't forget ECNL is highest level for clubs w/o DA.

UFA 1 - DA 2A - NPL 2B - SCCL 3 - Academy/Select * No U12/13 DA girls, so top team will be NPL/SCCL
GSA 1 - ECNL 2 - SCCL 3 - Academy/Select * No U12 ECNL, so top team will be SCCL(Pre-ECNL)
CF 1A - DA(Boys) 1B - ECNL A 2 - ECNL B 3 - SCCL 4 - Academy/Select * No U12 ECNL, so top team will be SCCL(Pre-ECNL)
NTH 1 - DA 2 - ECNL 3 - SCCL 4 - Academy * No U12 DA girls, so top team will be SCCL * No U12 ECNL, so top team will be SCCL(Pre-ECNL) * No U15/17/19 DA boys, so top team will be ECNL
SSA 1 - DA(Boys only) 2 - NPL 3 - SCCL 4 - Academy No U15/17/19 DA boys, so top team will be NPL

Not unless they've recently been granted NPL. The current members of NPL locally are: AFC, SSA and UFA. The boys will play out of two divisions
Next season, here is how the South Atlantic Premier division of the NPL will be structured:
Boys – West Division: AFC Lightning (Ga.) Chattanooga FC Academy (Tenn.) FC Alliance (Tenn.) Southern Soccer Academy (Ga.) United Futbol Academy (Ga.)
Boys – East Division: CSA Elite North/H’ville (N.C.) CSA Elite South (N.C.) Discoveries SC (S.C.) Lake Norman SC (N.C.) Triangle United Soccer Association (N.C.) USA Mount Pleasant (S.C.) USA Tormenta FC (Ga.) Wake FC (N.C.)
Girls: AFC Lightning (Ga.) CSA Elite North/H’ville (N.C.) CSA Elite South (N.C.) Discoveries SC (S.C.) Lake Norman SC (N.C.) Southern Soccer Academy (Ga.) Triangle United Soccer Association (N.C.) United Futbol Academy (Ga.) United Soccer Academy (S.C.) Wake FC (N.C.)

UFA has presented their overall pyramid as 1: DA, 2: NPL, 3: SCCL, 4: Academy/Select. But it seems to be a little more complicated since they have decided to base SCCL out of their Norcross location. Looking at the coaching projections, Forsyth will be: - 1st: DA
- 2nd: Premier: NPL (formerly SRPL, A/1)
- 3rd: Red: athena A/B and classic 1/2 (except 02G who will be SCCL)
- 4th: Gold: athena B/C and classic 2/3
Norcross projected to be: - 1st: Premier: SCCL (formerly a mix of SRPL, A/1, B/2)
- 2nd: Red: athena B/C and classic 2/3
- 3rd: Gold: classic 4
I said in another thread, prior to release of coaching projections, that it would be interesting to see what happened in the age groups where the Red team at Forsyth has a better record (on paper) than the Premier team at Norcross. Well, the answer is that the Norcross team got the SCCL spot anyway. So if you lump both locations together and look at fall 2017 results for those specific age groups, SCCL is arguably the 4th ranked team. For most of the other age groups Norcross Premier (SCCL) teams seem to be roughly at the same level or just below the Forsyth Premier (NPL) teams. It looks like there is at least one where the Norcross Premier team (which will be SCCL) finished higher than the Forsyth Premier team (which will be NPL).
Of course, who knows what the teams will actually look like after tryouts. Is there a player continuity rule for the new SCCL teams?
In my opinion, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. ranking really means very little in the grand scheme of things anyway, when you realize that the "1st team" at one location/club potentially plays at the same level as the "2nd" team at another. Or the 3rd team at one is higher than the 2nd at another...
Should be an interesting fall season! (if we can all just make it through tryouts...)

I think when you look at UFA you can't include it for Fowler of Norcross. It's a club wide team. So I would put it as:
UFA First Team (Top Level): DA
Forsyth: Second Team: NPL Third Team: Classic (probably Classic 1)
Norcross: Second Team: SCCL Third Team: Red (probably Classic2 but might slip to classic1)
For our age group I would expect that the Norcross SCCL team would win vs the Fowler NPL team. Also expect that the Fowler team will not be as good next year, so even more likely the SCCL team would win that match up. But this is just one age group. No clue how the other age groups and gender will play out.

Too bad all your teams at UFA won't play each other or will they? Would be nice to see who would consistently dominate and based on the results if there will be a change in perception by parents at either location. Hopefully the club leadership can schedule games against each other during the bye weeks #BraggingRights

I think if every age group and gender at Fowler played Norcross, Fowler would win more than they lose. There are some teams though at Norcross that would beat Fowler. Trust me, our team will be looking for tournaments that our Fowler counterpart is playing in.
The biggest shame here is that UFA has made a huge change with the Big 5 SCCL, but failed to go all in. All in would mean fielding combined teams. I tend to think that the focus should have been on fielding a combined team to either play in NPL or SCCL, not both. Instead their strategy seem to be ensure they are less competitive at both.
